MICROPAVE: The Breakdown

MICROPAVE replaces the conventional asphalt surface course providing a thin high-performance surface wear course designed not to ravel or show conventional signs of aging. MICROPAVE 2-lift system to replace 1″ to 2″ mill and overlay conventional applications where pavement base is sound or requires minor repairs.

Similar to conventional asphalt surface course mix designs, MICROPAVE first lift aggregate can be modified as needed to address specific conditions or performances required. With a higher PG performance binder content to conventional asphalt based on layer thickness ratio, the first lift remains durable and flexible. MICROPAVE second lift provides a smooth durable performance wear course minimizing future raveling and retaining rich black color, unlike conventional asphalt mix designs.
